2009 Defence Marathon Championships (run in conjunction with Gold Coast Marathon)

Attached are the results for the AD Marathon Championships held at the Gold Coast on the weekend. Overall we had a great turn out with some fantastic results across the board.

Our placegetters were:

3rd Jeff Rudd 2.54 (Jeff is still a spring chicken in the 50-54 category!)

Other Standouts

We also had a lot of our members run in different distances on the day. Our two ADF standout athletes also featured, Anthong Craig ran 30.31 in the 10km.

And, in what was in my opinion the best ADF run of the day, Cass Fien ran 72.21 to finish in 2nd behind Lisa-Jane Weightman in the Half Marathon. Cass now knows she has the ability to run against Australia's best, and should be starting to focus on London. No pressure, just keep enjoying the journey Cass!
