Welcome to the Australian Defence Running and Athletics Association Detailed below is the schedule of upcoming ADRAA events. Click on the link for further information on the event and entry details.
The future development of the ADRAA is detailed in the Development Plan 2006-10 The 2008/09 Committee as voted at the 2008 AGM. A message from the ADRAA President on coaching Greetings Athletes The ADRAA has established a coaching development program that aims to accredit and develop Defence Athletic Club coaching staff through the Australian Track and Field Coaches Association to Level I and Level II standards. The Association allocates funding towards reimbursing course fees to DAC members. We have already qualified several coaches and my aim is to further grow the skills of our coaching staff. To this end I encourage those of you interested in coaching to consider qualifying through ATFCA. I point out that once qualified, the member is responsible for maintaining skills and payment of on going annual membership fees. The second aspect is that our coaching staff are there to provide coaching to DAC members. Our coaches will work one-on-one with athletes to develop programs that meet the athlete's goals and monitor progress. Overseeing the process is the Coaching Director, SGT Gary Ewart. The coaching service that we provide to DAC members is at no cost. Details of accredited DAC coaches and their disciplines can be found here. DAC members who would like to be linked with a coach should contact Gary Ewart by email.
Best regards, Latest information Registration is now open for the inaugural AD Mountain Championships, the women's only Sussan Classic and the 2009 T&F Championships The records have been updated to reflect some outstanding recent performances.
